At Missio, we are committed to protecting the privacy of all users (nonprofits, businesses, and individuals) who trust us to power their growth and impact.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Missio platform, including modules like Talent IQ, CRM, fundraising tools, and our website builder. Our goal is to be fully transparent while providing you control over your data.

By using our platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

We collect personal and organisational information you provide when you:

• Sign up for a Missio account
• Use our Talent IQ, CRM, or campaign tools
• Fill out forms, assessments, or contact support

This includes:

• Name, email, phone number
• Organization name, EIN (for nonprofits)
• Job title, resume, profile details (for Talent IQ)
• Payment and billing information (if applicable)

B. Automatically Collected Data

When you access Missio, we automatically collect:

• Device and browser information
• IP address and location (approximate)
• Pages visited, time spent, and interactions

C. Talent IQ-Specific Data

If you use Talent IQ, we may collect:

• Candidate/volunteer profiles and assessments
• Resume content and AI match results
• Interview responses and skill tags
• Organizational hiring preferences

We only store this data in your secure workspace and do not share it without your consent.

D. Information from Google

If you connect a Google account, we receive the Google data described in Section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalise the Missio platform
• Enable AI-based matching and insights in Talent IQ
• Improve platform features and analytics
• Respond to inquiries and support requests
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

4. Sharing Your Information

We only share your data in the following cases:

• With your team members or users in your organisation
• With trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud storage, analytics)
• When required by law, regulation, or legal process
• If you opt to publish content or profiles publicly (e.g., job listings)

All third-party partners are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.

5. Google User Data

If you connect a Google account to Missio, we access Google user data only with your permission and only to provide the features you use:

• Calendar: Missio creates and updates Google Calendar events for meetings and tasks you create in Missio.
• Contacts (read-only): Missio reads the contacts you choose to import and saves them to your company's CRM as leads or donors. Missio does not change or delete anything in your Google Contacts.
• Basic profile: your Google email address and name, to identify your account.

How we use Google user data: We use Google user data only to provide the features above. We do not use it for advertising, sell it, or share it with third parties, except to operate the service on our behalf or when required by law. We do not use Google user data to train or improve AI or machine learning models.

Missio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI processing. When you use MIRA, our AI assistant, requests may be sent to OpenAI to generate responses. This can include names and contact details from your CRM. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models under our account settings. OpenAI may keep request data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Missio does not use Google user data to train or improve any AI model.

Disconnecting and deletion: You can disconnect your Google account in Missio at any time. Disconnecting removes Missio's saved Google access, and you can also revoke Missio's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Contacts already imported into your CRM stay in your account until you delete them. You can delete imported leads or donors at any time.


 

6. Data Security

We take data protection seriously and implement best practices, including:

• Encrypted data storage (at rest and in transit)
• Role-based access control and multi-factor authentication
• Routine security audits and vulnerability testing
• GDPR, CCPA, and FERPA-aligned practices

Access to Talent IQ data is restricted to authorised users only.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can manage your data through your Missio account or by contacting us. Your rights include:

• Accessing or updating your information
• Requesting data deletion or portability
• Withdrawing consent for certain types of processing
• Managing email and communication preferences

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Recognise repeat visitors
• Store user preferences
• Analyse performance and usage
• Improve UX across modules like Talent IQ

You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function properly.

9. Children's Privacy

Missio is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us immediately and we will remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed in data centers outside your home country. We ensure all transfers comply with applicable privacy laws such as GDPR.

11. Retention and Deletion

We retain data only for as long as needed to:

• Provide services to you
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

12. Changes to This Policy
